Simply CPD is a mobile app that is used by medical professionals to search for and book their continual professional development (CPD) courses. It brings doctors and course providers together, making booking onto courses and events simple.


Features of SimplyCPD

CPD or Continuing Professional Development is a key part of any doctors’s career. SimplyCPD allows course organisers to advertise and market their courses, which doctors and other professionals can then book onto. Users are automatically matched up to relevant courses, within their area, taking the time out of searching through irrelevant courses.

For doctors

Doctors can recommend courses to friends, book directly with the course providers and ask any relevant questions directly to the course organiser. Reviews are a key part of the app allowing users to make more informed decisions on the courses they attend. The system allows doctors to search both via web and a native iOS application.┬áIt’s simple to navigate and displays all the details needed for each course in a clear format, making the app quick to use, suitable for a doctor with a busy schedule.

We were able to integrate with the General Medical Council’s database to automatically collect each user’s GMC registration, ensuring users are valid and also saving time when registering.

Course organisers

Course organisers can ensure that their courses are reaching their target audience by sorting them by specialities, interests and suitability. They can also receive feedback and reviews on their courses.

Another important aspect for course organisers is analytics. They are able to quickly view the most popular courses and track various trends in a graphical, easy to interpret way.

Messaging service

The app and web portal offers a built in messaging system, allowing users to quickly message course organisers with any questions they may have. This was a custom built solution and is due to expand to a more complex system very shortly.

Admin portal

Alongside all these other features is a super admin portal. This allows site administrators to access features such as:

  • Manage, filter and export users and course organisers
  • Moderate and maintain site and app content
  • Send out mass mails in compliance with GDPR
  • Communicate with users via push notifications
  • View site wide analytics with various exported reports
  • Ability to securely manage user’s data for use in customer support
